Seldom does something so cool come along that people are willing to pay full retail and purpose to only use half of the features. I must confess, I have avoided commenting on the iPhone, but this just unbelievable. There is a rather large crowd of people that are purchasing the iPhone with the intent to NOT activate the phone features. This, in essence, makes it a $600 Nano with WiFi. None of the touted voicemail, Edge internet or cellular capabilities will work in this mode.

Why would anyone do this? The form factor is incredible, the interface is sweet, the touch interface and the ease of use. The critics said that no one would pay the $500-$600 for the entire package. The reality is that people are paying and other are paying for half the features.
