Evan Almighty
If you liked Bruce Almighty, you will probably like Evan. The movie was smartly done in that it didn't try to recreate the first plot line, nor did they try to turn Steve Carell into Jim Carrey. This one stood on its own and did it well.Evan did not have to hit rock bottom, he did not assume that he could run the world better than God, nor did he get God's powers for a week. He was just out to change the world. A willing vessel so to speak. And a vessel he became, and a vessel did he spend the movie building. Throughout the movie, Evan was constantly shown that despite his best efforts and plans, God is in control and doing things in His own time.
While the movie did not push God and salvation, it was made with a respect for the God of Noah as it described the ark in Genesis 6:14. Even the non-religious should enjoy the film for it's clean family humor.
