Travel Blog: Relative
It's that time again. Another opportunity to experience the wonders and steller service provided by the worlds airlines.
On the shuttle ride to the airport, the word 'relative' kept coming up: visiting family, quality of life, is 105 degrees really hot, and, of course, humidity. I'm not sure why the word stood out to me, other than nothing that we talked about was related, except this word we kept using.
The line to check in at the airport seemed long. As long as I have seen in several trips. But looking across the isle at the sea of people in the Southwest line, my line is relatively short. I wonder if that will make the time go by faster.
Hmmm, they seem to be moving more than we are.

Since it is all relative, in theory, I think I am going to play a game on this journey. Taking a cue from the practice of intertextuality, I shall attempt to relate these travel scenes to a movie, book or tv show.
It's a cross between Cheers and the Seinfeld episode in the Chinese restaraunt set in a airline boarding area. Lots of people, senseless conversation and waiting. Everyone one else seemd to be getting a seat, when is it my turn?
